Highlights of the China & Tibet Dream Tour

● Explore Tibet, the roof top of the world - Fly over majestic mountains to Lhasa, Tibet’s ancient capitol, stay in beautiful Tibetan style hotel where Pilgrim’s Circuit goes past our door. Visit fabulous Potala Palace, once home of the Dalai Lama. Experience majestic Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s holiest shrine. Listen to monks debating in the great Sera Monastery.  Explore temples and pilgrim caves of Drak Yerpa- a famous saying is “Tibet‘s holy place is Lhasa, Lhasa’s holy place in Drak Yerpa.” Tibetan Banquet and Dancing Shows.

● Learn about the daily life of Tibetan people as we visit traditional old style villages and are welcomed as guests of a Tibetan family in their home, try yak butter tea. Visit a Buddhist Nunnery and enjoy their hospitality and sweet chanting; rub elbows with pilgrims and shop for art and handcrafts at the Barkor.
 
● Chengdu, in SW China, one of the world’s most ancient and cultured cities where we will visit QingYan Gong (Green Ram Temple) one of most beautiful Taoist Temples and ancient printing house.  5,000 year old Shu Culture - Sichuan Opera with Mask Changing Shows - Hot Pot, and other world famous Sichuan Cuisine.

●  Panda Sanctuary and Nature Reserve - visit Giant Pandas in their natural habitat, be a Panda Volunteer Caretaker for a day... prepare food, feed Pandas, etc. (optional) Hold & photograph baby Pandas (donation).  Shangli Ancient Town - relax and enjoy this artistic village - Tea Culture, roam through tea garden, learn to pick, process tea leaves - Leshan  - boat ride to largest Buddha Statue in the world UNESCO site.

● Enjoy the picturesque old town of Lijiang with its cobble stone streets, stone bridges gracefully arching over canals fed by glacial streams overlooked by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Visit Black Dragon Pool, Dongba Museum, Baisha Village, ShuHe Ancient Town, BaiShui River. Enjoy delectable food unique to Yunnan and Naxi Traditional Orchestra. Lijiang is a UNESCO site and one of the most charming spots in the world.

● Minority Cultures - Learn about the traditional life style of the Naxi, Mosu, Pumi and other matriarchal cultures. Be guests of a Naxi family for dinner and traditional dancing! A "heart centered" way of life! 

● Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation, and Stress Reduction (optional) Program is included in the tour fee.

 The trip fee includes all transportation within China * including airfare, bus, boats and private van; all lodging (double occupancy accommodation); study tuition; excursion and sight seeing; translation; most meals, including banquets; admission charges to temples and tourist sites. * (Trip begins at our hotel in Chengdu on April 10 and ends in Chengdu on April 25.  (Single room where available $655 US extra)
International airfare is not included in trip fee. Activities or travel before our trip begins at our hotel in Chengdu on April 10 and after our tour ends  in Chengdu on April 25 are not included.)
