Visiting the Pandas at the Giant Panda Research Base is a favorite part of our educational & cultural tours. The Giant Panda Research Base is home to Giant Pandas of all ages as well as the smaller Red Pandas, Black Necked Cranes and White Storks. The beautiful park includes walking trails through bamboo forests and other natural Panda habitat. Fourteen species of bamboo, three hundred other plant species and ninety species of birds also make their home there.
The mission of the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base is to increase the world’s Panda population and further understanding of this beautiful and amazing, endangered species. Our trip members will have an opportunity to hold and photograph adorable baby Pandas.
